My first Post

My first attempt at documenting anything about myself. Well there are no guarantees that I'll continue this in the future or even tomorrow for two reasons...one - I am only good at starting things but not continuing, two - I am very bad at multi tasking (something "MBA's" like me are supposed to be good at!) and I prefer one work at a time...even if it's simple!! . Currently I don't have much work which has prompted me to try blogging (hope my boss doesn't read this!! ) . Intended audience... well my friends ofcourse! ... but anyone is invited! Honestly I don't know how many of my friends will be interested in this.... in any case I take this as an opportunity to look back at whatever that has happened to me over the years and to reflect on them. The intention here is to take an objective view of all the happenings. Memories are short and hence inadvertantly I might be focusing on the recent happenings more than the old one. And ofcourse as I finish covering the major past happenings I'll come to my day to day happenings at present.

‘Scooter’ explained… for all my non-BIM friends!!

Well what's with this name scooter? My nick name at BIM for riding one grand old yet sturdy Bajaj Chetak(Thanks to Athiraman). Actually this is the first time I've declared the name to anyone myself! Now I must also share all the nicknames I've had till nowKathrika in school, UK in Engineering, scooter, chik and Rowdy at BIM (there were few others too but these were the most prominant). As u would have noticed there aren't many and not without a reason... I don't like people calling me with nicks (though I make the mistake many times by calling others with their nicks) and my friends have also reluctantly stopped using them. But BIM was a lot different. I couldn't stop people from calling me scooter. I even tried promoting Rowdy over scooter as the later atleast sounded better to me but everything was in vain. So here I am... scooter!!!And what's with this "scooter-ride" thing? If u've driven a scooter that is just a few years younger to u or for that matter older than you and you've tried riding it at neck breaking speeds (come on don't think beyond 70 ... old scooters won't cross that) u'll notice one thing... u r completely out of control... this beast with a 150cc engine in it's belly won't easily stop turn or do whatever u want! And that is precisely how my life has been... something out of control.. not that it went out of control on it's own but just as the driver who allows his scooter to go past 70 I let my life to take a path of it's own and somehow it has taken the right path on it's own.
